The Wire Rope Safety Barrier, Brifen!
The Brifen's 'weaved' wire rope configuration makes this systems' performance, speed of installation, lower maintenance lifecycle costs and it's ecologically adaptive design increasingly popular across global markets. The flexible design makes this system a suitable alternative when small working widths aren't essential. Also known as a cable barrier, Brifen VRS has become a household name and continues to exceed expectations!
Tested and approved to EN1317, NCHRP350 and MASH (including CE certification), Hill & Smith have designed the 'Britranz' transition to ensure it contains and safely redirects impacting vehicles. Don't forget, we also have a range fully compliant Brifen Wire Rope End Terminals, tested and approved to NCHRP 350 and MASH.

Brifen is a 2, 3 or 4 rope system and after impact the wire ropes will remain in situ to prevent the system becoming dangerous 'on highway' debris.
When used with ground sockets, the damaged line posts are easily removed, new posts are inserted and the wire ropes are simply re-hung therefore making this is the most cost-effective VRS.
